Hello World

If you’ve scrolled this far, thank you! I appreciate your commitment. I’m still workshopping what and where I want all of my site elements to be, currently. I may include semi-regular blog posts that capture my own philosophies plus yogic texts and concepts down the road. For now, I’ll share what yoga means to me:

Yoga, to me, represents FREEDOM. Freedom to find and live in one’s truth, one’s power! Your confidence, your boundaries, your sense of being through movement (or lack thereof); these are all aspects of individual power and truth. Operating from this zone is by far the most effective way to move through life.

I strive to be of service to others. I strive to uplift, empower, and enrich others through my actions and words. I understand I am not for everyone and I know my message will not be universally received, nor do I need it to be (when it comes to teaching, that is a bit of a different story, LOL). I don’t consider myself conventional in any respect and my teaching style may not be for you! That is perfectly normal and completely acceptable. Likewise, I don’t expect you to be the best student for me. I desire for you to be your own best teacher; I am simply a catalyst.

What I expect from you when you come to practice is to show up for yourself, however that looks for you. You can expect the same from me when I teach. I am only human and yoga instructors are just as susceptible to life’s stressors as anyone else, you feel me? There is, of course, a level of professionalism you can always expect when I am teaching. Open channels of communication are welcome and encouraged, etc., etc.

I am here to be of service. Not just to my students in class, but to myself. I wish to grow alongside all of you as we build a rapport and discover new depths to our individual power; in mind, body, and spirit. That is the Trifecta, after all!

(I had to plug that in at some point…)

If all of this resonates with you, chances are you’re in the right place! If this doesn’t… eh, give me a chance and see how you feel. I’m happy to receive your respectful feedback and maybe there’s a thing or two I can do differently that will help us resonate with one another better! Think Agile if you’re familiar with Information Systems development: feedback loops, iterative deployments and all that…

There was supposed to be a neat and tidy sign-off at the end of this post… I might add one later (Agile! 😁💚).
