About Me

“Your Friendly Neighborhood Yoga Man!”

Welcome, friends!

Devon is the name. Yoga is (one of) my game(s). I’m a 200-hr certified RYT® Yoga Instructor with a focus on Vinyasa yoga and outdoor classes. My backgrounds in IT and social media offer me a unique blend of talents I can leverage in today’s wellness community. I am highly motivated to create inclusive and accessible yoga experiences while doing my part to honor the spiritual tenets of the practice.

Movement has always been one of the two best ways I express my best self. Whether I am drilling Muay Thai techniques, diving into a Vinyasa flow, or hitting the gym; movement brings me to the present and offers me the freedom to grow in mind, body, and spirit. I strive to share this catalytic energy through my yoga practice.

Most of my tenure as a yoga instructor has been entrepreneurial: Once I graduated from my 200-hr training, I dove into offering virtual classes at a weekly cadence. Summer being afoot, my attendance was low. That, and I started offering cooking classes through my *ahem* personal catering biz (#shamelessplug). While the virtual offerings went on hold, I began serving the community through free and donation-based Park Yoga Events.

From spring through early fall of 2023, a couple other instructors and myself taught classes every Saturday at a local park in the Denver area (my home, at the time). It was a great experience and one that came with its unique challenges based on acoustics, sunny v. shaded areas, and somewhat uneven ground. As far as adversity goes, these mountains were far from unscalable.

Once park yoga came to a halt, I started interviewing at more traditional studios until I landed a role at Life Time at the newly minted Denver West location. Sadly, unexpected life events had me relocating to my current residence in South Florida. Much like the uneven park terrain, I navigated that, too (plus, I get to rub the perma-summer temperatures in my Denver friends’ 40° faces).

** To the DNW crew at Life Time: I am so, so grateful to have spent the short amount of time I could with y’all. Your words of encouragement, your wisdom and guidance; they will not be forgotten as I continue deepening my practice on the East Coast. **

And all of that brings us to the now! I have taken the time to recommit myself to myself, my practice, and my passions. Now is the time I share my gifts with the community once more and I cannot wait to meet you all; virtually or in-person.

Let’s flow!
